Redefine Success

I’ve officially started my own business which has brought excitement mixed with nervousness. I feel like a child looking over a large pool of water excited to jump in, excited to feel like a big girl but then there’s the “what if’s.” Looking for the trusting adult with outreached arms but, I’m not a little girl and the adult I see is my own reflection, it’s on me to jump and to catch. I must be my own supporting trusting adult.

There’s one thing we often forget. Even if we can’t swim we can float. If we are vulnerable enough to lay flat, belly in the air and water surrounding our face, we can float. This represents the people and resources that we can lean into and know we’re not alone, I’m not alone. . There’s mentors, friends, ex-co workers, and family that can play a role in this.
